Is there a project or task you are yet to complete?

How long have you been sitting on it?
Why have you not gotten it done yet?
When will you complete it?

Uncompleted task always plays a negative number on our psyche and self esteem. Positivity, productivity and excellence is what the best of us hope for.

Sure you know that exhilarating feeling whenever you complete a task of any size. You feel a surge of energy, enthusiasm, and great self esteem. As for me if the task is especially daunting, upon completion, I feel like superwoman, like I can take over the world!

It’s amazing how often important tasks are pushed down the to do list. We tend to do those easy and enjoyable tasks first. We are very busy, very very busy in fact doing them. We must however be careful to check what we are busy doing. Are we spending time doing the most important task or are we busy doing everything else but that?

You see when you complete a task, you release endorphins in your brain. These endorphins actually give you a natural high.. The endorphins rush that follows successful completion of task make you feel very confident and inspired. In time you can truly become addicted in a very good and productive way and never settle for less.

4 Qualities to Develop the Habits of Focus and Concentration

  • Decision – It all begins with a decision to develop the habit of completing your tasks.
  • Discipline – Just like exercising, at first your body feels the pain and stress of the work out, but when you keep at it the reverse happens. You start to feel out of sorts when you do not exercise. Likewise, discipline is like developing muscles. It grows stronger and more capable with use. With practice you can learn any behavior or develop any productive habit. It becomes easier to complete even important tasks than not to complete them.
  • Determination – You can speed up your progress towards becoming a highly effective person by thinking continually about the benefits of being an action oriented, fast moving and focused person. See yourself as the kind of person you want to be. Your self image largely determines your performance. As a man thinks in his heart, so he is – proverbs. Your mental picture of yourself has a powerful effect on your behavior.
  • Action – Six business men were discussing on how their day will be spent. Four decided to attend a business meeting in Florida. How many men stayed behind? Sure it’s a no brainier.. But is it really? The answer is 6. Deciding on a course of action is not the same as taking action. The time to act is now!

I was going to pass the buck but then I got high..

Because I got high..

Start getting high on completing important tasks today!
